Overview

CrossFit POCONO is hosting a CrossFit Team Competition - Mountain Melee - on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. As before, Mountain Melee will be held at Barley Creek's outdoor pavilion in Tannersville, PA. Food will be available for purchase throughout the day and evening and also after the conclusion of the competition.

CrossFit POCONO is hosting a Team Competition - Mountain Melee - on Saturday, October 3rd, 2015. Teams of three Male or Female athletes will be tested by three WODs through out the competition. Mountain Melee will be located at Barley Creek's Outdoor Pavilion in Tannersville, PA.     Team Competition Information

   Parking:

Please either park across the street at Mountain View Park or in the lot to the left when you enter. Please do not park in Barley Creek’s main parking area, you will be asked to move.

   Registration:

Please have all 3 waivers signed. At that time, you will receive your teams t-shirts.

   Athlete Area:

We strongly recommend you bring a tent for your team since the weather will be questionable. There are 2 areas in the field for athletes to set up.

   Food:

Barley Creek will be roasting a pig! Food will be available to purchase throughout the day.

   WOD Locations and Scoring:

  • WOD 1 is the wreck bag running wod in the field
  • WOD 2/4 is the kb and team jump over wod/the rowing is counted as wod 4 under the pavilion
  • WOD 3 is the 4 minute AMRAPS under the tent
  • WOD 5 is floater wod (Surprise!) which will be announced and discussed in the athlete briefing.
  • Championship WOD will be for the top 3 teams after all 5 wods are completed.
  • Leader board can be found at breezescoring.com




    Schedule


   In the spirit of CrossFit, the Mountain Melee competition schedule has been designed to test each team's strenght, conditioning and overall functional fitness level at a relatively high intensity. New for 2015, recovery times between WODs have been reduced to challenge the athelete's ability to recover. Each WOD will have a time cap of 12 minutes followed by 22 minutes of recovery period before the start of the next WOD.
